Happy Holidays! In Chicago, it’s already snowed a few times, and I’m expecting it to be a white, Midwestern Christmas. Although I venture to guess most of December will be white out here.
Just a few quick updates:
1) Some Reservations, the fifth episode, has begun! I retroactively updated yesterdays, but the ball is now rolling. Four weeks of brand-new story awaits you.
2) …although there may be delays, as I need someone who knows how to write using Japanese symbols. Guys, if we can’t find someone, I’m going to have to fake it. And I assure you, it’s going to look awful.
And last but certainly not least,
3) HOLIDAY CARDS!
If you would like a PHIL’S ADVENTURES holiday postcard sent to you through the snailmail, let me know! You can find all sorts of contact information here. If there’s any way I can make your holidays a little more magical, I’d be happy to do so. It is, afterall, the most wonderful time of the year.
Those are all of my updates. Have a wonderful Holiday Season, and I’ll talk to you guys soon!

Hello, all! It’s been a while since I’ve uploaded this little blog, and I figured you were all due for some news!
First and foremost, I’d like to take this opportunity to announce that ‘Underneath the Water’ is now posted, complete and in-full! There was a bit of a mix-up about 3/4 into the story, and a few strips went unpublished, while one was completely skipped. I’ve gone back and fixed all of that business, so please enjoy the unblemished and unabridged ‘Underneath the Water.’
Second and secondmost, the next story, ‘Some Reservations,’ will begin updating on Monday, December 6th. There may be some delay however; I need someone capable of writing in Japanese script for a few comics. I’d try myself, but I’m fairly certain a poorly-drafted Japanese symbol would stick out like a sore thumb. So, if you or someone you know is able to do this and lives in Chicago, boy, I’d sure like to talk to ‘em.
That’s all, folks. See you on the 6th! And in the meantime, don’t forget about the Phil’s Adventures tumblr, twitter, facebook, and formspring!

Friends!
This Saturday (October 2nd) I will be participating in 24-Hour Comics Day, a challenge where artists have 24 hours to write and draw a 24 page comic book. I’ll be spending 11am on Saturday to 11am on Sunday at the Comic Vault, a local comic book store here in windy Chicago. I think spending a full 24 hours at a comic book store would usually be a dream come true, but this time it might be a bit stressful.
The story is being co-written by Benjamin Vigeant, friend of the strip, and will feature a character named MATT SHEASBY:RETAIL DETECTIVE.
I’ll be sure to show you guys our progress, and I’ll be the first person to tell you whether or not drawing a full comic book in 24 hours was the best day in my life or the worst.
See you on Saturday!

And that concludes our second episode, “Mummies…ALIVE!” I hope you enjoyed, and perhaps we’ll someday return to Egypt to again meet some mummies. How about a sequel episode, “Mummies…ALIVE…RETURNS!” How’s that for a name?
Our next story, “The Grey Lady Blues” is set to debut on October 4th, 2010. Until then, check out the Phil’s Adventures twitter, tumblr, facebook, and formspring pages for news, blogs, and other exciting stuff.
Love,
steve
Some updates!
1) Just added yesterday: We have a FACEBOOK page! On it you’ll be able to see some sneak-peeks at the upcoming year’s worth of stories. If you’re the type who likes to be surprised, perhaps you’d best avoid that.
2) The Phil’s Adventures Tumblr is also up and running. The tumblr page is for posting inspirations and other misc. things. It’s sort-of a behind the scenes look. But only just sort of.
3) I can feel Autumn coming in the crisp Chicago air and I cannot be happier for it.
More updates coming. Things are just starting and it’s sort of exciting, isn’t it!
see you soon,
love,
steve
